Urban Climbing Manifesto

Philadelphia’s underground urban climbing guide

Kimmel Center

Peter Parker

Location: Broad and Spruce

Rock: Modern Brick

Type of Climb: Bouldering, but you can always take it further

Description: For a building that sticks out like a soar thumb when compared to its neighbors, this modern monolith offers a couple of dicey moves. Obviously one of the exposed climbs in the city, it’s a good hit-and-run target. Coincidently, due to its similarity to an overturned keg, it usually gets climbed on Saturday nights, coming home from, intoxicated, yours truely…

Set Routes:
-”Modern Dyno” V3 (Starting scrunched up beneath the mini roof, explode up and out, attempting to land yourself as far out on the roof as possible. While dangling from your newly sent problem, check out the PARKER tag on the end, left over from Freshman year)
